Tonight’s Hackney Film Club Public Screening Postponed
Please be advised that the public screening of a film in Dalston Square this evening, to celebrate the launch of the Hackney Film Club’s ‘Turkey East Asia Season’, has been postponed. Weather forecasters have warned of the chance of high winds and rain for this evening so the performance has been provisionally rescheduled for May 23rd. That date coincides with the World Food Market’s wish to be in the square so avenues need to be explored to determine if both events can run concurrently. To that end there is a meeting within the council this coming week, and I should be able to get back to you all with an update soon thereafter.

Dear Mark I’m looking for one or two residents of Hipster Central (as Dalston Square is sometimes called: it is Dalston, after all) who are agitated enough about the noise from Dalston Roof Park to email me a short attributable comment about the noise that drifts over. It may be that you hate/don’t mind it; just say so, although I am trying to divine what the majority view is.I’m wondering also whether Barratt’s agents when they offered the flats for sale gave any indication of the development’s social-noise potential. A colleague happened to be at the DRP annual relaunch on Fri night 010515 around 2230 when Hackney council noise patrollers came calling. I’d also welcome, of course, a comment from your association.
